![]() ![]() He gets sucked into a magical world by the wizard Calypso, who has chosen Simon for reasons unknown to confront the evil wizard Sordid. Simon the Sorcerer features not your average slightly-too-focused magician but a teenage boy with more snide remarks in his inventory than tricks. Like most things that seem simple, getting any good at sleights of hand or card tricks takes a lot of work, not to mention the embarrassment of attempting it in front of friends dozens of times. So far I just installed the game normally in Steam. I get the same error message as others has written here " have stopped working". I bought the 25th anniversary bundle 3 weeks ago and I can't get the game to start. Windows Media Player was needed to be installed for previous versions - which is no longer the case. Please contact us via email so we can be in touch once we get a lead and also send you things to posted by MojoTouch:New update is live for both games with a fix for this bug. we can't reproduce the issue on any of our test machine and no other users have contact us via email about an issue like this (except one - but it seems he got a different issue than yours). You are the second one writing about this here and the first one (the OP) have not contact us since. I meant we aren't familiar with the issue in way that we don't know the scope yet and the reasons for it. So, no the Main Menu does not show, I also get a black screen (not full screen though, windows bar is still visible) and the error message " has stopped working" Any more ideas? Why are you not familiar with this error? It is exactly the same error described by the OP of the thread. I installed it on a i7 laptop with onboard GPU and win 8.1. Originally posted by cereal killer:It is definitely not related to the GPU. I have no problems cause like i said i am an 'ancient' gamer i buy old games, so far most problems i have are with new games, i own the classic versions cause i am classic so i buy classic. What about gamers that might have older window(s) and older GFX cards?īut many times they ask for dxdiag files to be mailed and dxdiag files contain lots of redundant info, like the brand of some hardware, network information (if people have a LAN) and more info that should not be shared wordlwide because it will not help solving problems, it might be fun to read to see what hardware people have but it wont solve bugs itself. If a user have a rare issue and agrees to try things - it helps a lot. But we need to find the specific issue (which doesn't reproduce on our test machines and for other users) in order to fix it. Sure, our games supports Windows 7 through 10. The last time i followed directions to make 1 or 2 games run ( games from other publishers) by updating i got 1 game working but 12 games stopped working so, 12 non functioning games toget 2 games to work ? thats rather bad These users cannot update to latest drivers and the already (should) have the latest drievrs and winupdates available for that version. Many games work under win7 and win8 with the exception of games written for win 10 ofcourse (if they exist). If still no success, it would be best to continue over about gamers that might have older window(s) and older GFX cards? Then uninstall and install again through Steam client. Please try updating Windows with latest updates and also Nvidia drivers. Originally posted by MojoTouch:Hi, sorry for your experience.
